Partnership Gwinnett, in collaboration with Gwinnett Technical College, announced the winners of its 3rd Annual Movers and Makers Awards Presented by Jackson EMC on Thursday morning.
The Movers and Makers Awards are Gwinnett County’s annual recognition of exceptional companies involved in the manufacture, processing, or distribution of tangible goods, and they are the largest local awards event honoring manufacturing and supply companies.
The three manufacturing winners include YSS Athletics of Snellville, MTI Baths of Sugar Hill, and Millenium Mats LLC of Suwanee. The two supply chain winners were Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration of Stone Mountain and RockTenn of Norcross.
The Most Valuable Provider (MVP) Award recognized i-Tech e-Services of Norcross for its excellence in service to the manufacturing and supply chain sectors in the county.
Companies were judged based on specific criteria based upon the company’s local economic impact. Corporate responsibility and workforce excellence programs were also part of the criteria.
“With more than 500 companies that ‘move or make’ in Gwinnett County, manufacturing and supply chain companies play an essential role in our local economy, and drive innovation and competitiveness,” commented Troels Adrian, Senior Project Manager for Advanced Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management for Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett. “It is our privilege to recognize the impact these pioneering companies have in Gwinnett, and to highlight our community as a home for the manufacturing industry of the future.”
