How Our Contract Manufacturing Process Works

From prototype to full-scale high-mix production, we deliver on your precise requirements.

    1

    NDA + Files

Your journey begins when you submit your Gerbers, BOM, or XML. Your NDA is signed immediately to protect your intellectual property, making sure your ideas are safe with us from the very first moment.

    2

    Detailed Quoting

Next, you receive transparent quoting with zero surprises. We committo a confirmed delivery date for you. That timeline begins once all your project's parts have arrived at our facility.

    3

    Production Run

Finally, we finish the production run, which is followed by meticulous Testing, Validation, and Packaging for your shipment. During production, we give constant updates, usually on a weekly basis, and you have direct access to the engineers working on your project.

    Quality Testing FAQs

What types of electronics testing do you perform?

We perform Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), X-Ray inspection (for BGA and hidden joint analysis), Flying Probe and In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and Functional Testing (FCT) — all under IPC-A-610 acceptance criteria. Both Class 2 (general industrial) and Class 3 (high-reliability aerospace and medical) inspection are available at our Norcross, GA facility.

What is the difference between AOI and X-Ray inspection?

AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) uses cameras to verify visible solder joints, component placement, and polarity — fast and effective for surface-level defects. X-Ray inspection sees through components to check hidden joints under BGAs, QFNs, and shielded packages. Our process uses both: AOI on every assembly, X-Ray on any board with BGA or hidden-joint components.

    Are your inspectors IPC certified?

Yes. Our inspection technicians are certified to IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) and J-STD-001 (Soldering Process Requirements). Aerospace and medical work is performed against IPC-A-610 Class 3 acceptance criteria with full lot traceability and documented inspection records.

What is functional testing in PCB manufacturing?

Functional testing (FCT) energizes the assembled board and verifies its operation against the design specification — measuring voltages, signal timing, communication protocols, and intended outputs. We design and build custom functional test fixtures for each customer's product, with pass/fail logging tied to the unit's serial number.

Can you provide test reports for aerospace or medical audits?

Yes. Every assembly is inspected and recorded under our AS9100D and ISO 13485:2016 quality management systems with full lot traceability. Reports include AOI/X-Ray inspection results, ICT/FCT pass-fail data, technician sign-off, and material certifications — exportable in customer-required formats for FAA, FDA, or DCMA audits.

Do you offer testing services for boards built elsewhere?

Yes — we provide standalone inspection and testing for assemblies produced by other manufacturers. This is common for incoming inspection of contract-manufactured boards, failure analysis on field returns, and second-source verification before production ramp.

How long does PCB inspection and testing add to lead time?

Standard inspection (AOI + X-Ray + ICT) is integrated into our production flow and typically adds no additional calendar time — boards move directly from assembly to inspection on the same shift. Custom functional test fixture development for new products takes 1–3 weeks and is a one-time engineering charge.
